- Affordable, entry-level technology
- 3 channels
- Wireless connectivity through WidexLink
- Inter-ear communication when using 2 hearing aids
The latest family of hearing aids from Widex is the Widex DREAM. This is offered in 4 technology levels, which is actually one more than in the earlier CLEAR series. Indicating perhaps a real need for products with good sound quality at an affordable price. Widex market the DREAM 110 as perfect for one-on-one conversations and when using the phone.
There are only 3 channels used for sound processing – but the processing used is the Widex TruSound system, controlled by the latest TRUE ISP chip platform.
Wireless connectivity is still offered on this basic range, and if Dream110 hearing aids are worn on each ear, the user can benefit from the InterEar feature. With InterEar every input received by one hearing aid is shared with the other hearing aid. The sharing of data between the two hearing aids is fast - up to 21 a second. The aim of this system is to enhance binaural (using both ears) processing so that sound quality and particularly localization can be improved. InterEar also enables coordination of functions such as volume control and program changes between hearing aids, so when a change is made on one hearing aid, the user does not have to repeat this for the other side.
The full range of product styles that are available in the other more highly featured Dream ranges are also available for Dream110. This includes receiver-in-the-ear options, behind-the-ear and in-the-ear styles.
