The Series 90 of the Starkey Wi is the mid range portfolio of the Wi, with a more basic specification available in the series 70 and the premium range of the series 110 above it. The Wi replaced the Starkey S series and is proving to be just as popular with hearing aid users both new to Starkey and those who have used previous models from the US manufacturer.
The Wi is available in a wide variety of differing product styles, shapes and sizes from the BTE (behind the ear), through the ITE (in the ear) products that vary from IIC (invisible in the canal) to the larger full shells which completely fill the bowl of the ear.
The sound processing of the Series 90 is driven by a 12 channel / 12 band chip platform that provides, the speed and complexity required to support a suite of sound processing algorithms. The algorithms work in harmony to perform the required functions of amplifying the sound you would like to hear while decreasing or eliminating unwanted noise. This combination provides the clarity which is the desire of all those who suffer from a degree of hearing loss.
Some of the products within the 90 series can be offered as wireless – this would then change Starkey’s naming to be an i90 rather than a basic 90 series. Those wirelessly enable devices can link through streamers to compatible Bluetooth electronics such as MP3 players, mobile phones and the like. Bleutooth compatibility is becoming more widespread amongst household electronics so take care to check if you can benefit from this high quality communication method.
In summary: The Wi Series is Starkey’s most advanced line of digital hearing aids boasting all the performance features and options you could possibly want, including Voice iQ2 our leading noise reduction and speech preservation system. The Wi Series i90 has even more channels and bands for even greater performance
