The HD91 is a budget hearing aid ideally suited to those with a mild to moderate hearing loss. It's simple to use and represents excellent value for money. Designed to please those who value simplicity, it does so without compromising on sound quality. In a technical world that is growing increasingly complicated, it can be a relief to find a hearing aid that has been stripped back to offer the bare essentials and the HD91 Hearing Aid is the epitome of that.

Features

The HD91 is a budget hearing aid ideally suited to those with a mild to moderate hearing loss. The amplification profile is pre-set by the manufacturer, and cannot be further adjusted. Higher tones are boosted up more than lower tones, to cater for the difficulties commonly experienced with age-related hearing deterioration.

Basic noise reduction processing is active all the time, and a low battery warning will sound to alert the wearer to change batteries.

The HD91 is made to sit snugly within the average adult-sized ear canal. Ready to be tried at home straight away without the need for an ear impression to be taken. If however, you experience discomfort or unwanted feedback, it comes supplied with a number of different silicone fitting tips (or domes) for an improved fit.

The body (shell) of the HD91 is helpfully coloured red for the right ear, and blue for the left ear - but for most adult ears the only bit that will be visible in the ear is the beige on the front of the aid.

A thin, short pull-cord attached to the outer side of the hearing aid makes removing the HD91 a simple task.

FAQs

Here's answers to the frequently asked questions about the HD 91 Digital Hearing Aid
How do I use the HD91?

How do I know if it will fit my ear?

The manufacturer of the HD91 took a large sample of men and women’s ear canals into account to try to find the best average fitting, suitable for as many people as possible. We cant give a guaranteed 100% fit result for all ear canals, but that’s why our 30 day return period allows for a trial in your own ear, in the comfort of your own home.

What if it doesn't work for me?

If anything about the physical fitting or sound is not to your liking, you can return the HD91 for a full refund within the first 30 days of receipt. Please do contact us to see if another product may be better suited, and a further 30 day trial with another product can be arranged.

Should I get one or two?

If an evaluation by a hearing professional indicates that you have hearing loss in both ears, and especially where the degree of loss is similar, two hearing aids are usually recommended.

While it may be tempting to try to limit the cost by going with a single hearing aid, wearing just one hearing aid may not give you maximum benefit in some difficult listening situations.

Can I speak to an audiologist?
How much will it cost to run the HD91?

The following items will need to be replaced on the HD91:

  • Hearing Aid Batteries: budget 6 batteries per month (6 batteries in a pack)
  • Dome: if you choose to use a dome it will need changing every 2-3 months on average
  • Wax guard: varies greatly person to person - average change once every 3 weeks (5 Wax guards in a pack)
How do I turn the HD91 on/off?

No on/off switch, just insert battery, close/open battery door

How do I clean the hearing aid?
