Is the HD 210 Digital Hearing Aid right for you?
-
Pros
- Smallest BTE in our range
- Lightweight on the ear, manageable even with glasses frames alongside
- Easy to maintain with replaceable thin tubings and domes
- Programmable to an audiogram; free fine-tuning available for the life of the product
- 12 month warranty
-
Cons
- Smallest hearing aid battery used, battery changes required every 4 or 5 days
- Limited noise reduction features
Features
- 4 sound processing channels give a clear reproduction of incoming sound.
- The HD210 includes automatic noise reduction to reduce background noise allowing you to focus on what's important. Feedback management helps to prevent unwanted whistling.
- A low battery warning (a series of double beeps) will sound in your ear when the battery voltage drops below a certain point.
- The thin tubing helps keep the ear canal as unblocked as possible, bass tones are not over-amplified, whilst high tones can be boosted as needed.
- If you have sent us your audiogram in advance the HD210 will be programmed with 4 volume settings based on your audiogram:
- Setting 1 is set 2dB softer than the software’s recommendation for the audiogram to give a softer option on startup.
- Setting 2 is as per audiogram recommendation.
- Setting 3 is 2-3dB louder than setting 2.
- Setting 4 is 2-3dB louder than setting 3.
- If you do not have an audiogram; our default setting, suitable for a mild to moderate, high-frequency hearing loss is used to create the 4 settings.
The HD210 is remarkably compact and unobtrusive, sitting comfortably behind the ear, complete with barely visible thin tubing. Available in either beige or dark-grey (anthracite).
The thin silicon tubing directs the amplified sound into the ear canal. A ‘dome’ is attached to the end of the thin tubing. The dome helps the thin tubing sit comfortably in the ear canal. The thin tubing should sit close to the side of the head, and when in place correctly, offers an extremely discreet fitting.
A push button on the spine of the HD210 gives access to 4 different volume settings.

FAQs
Here's answers to the frequently asked questions about the HD 210 Digital Hearing Aid
The medium length tubing included as standard fits more than 85% of our customers comfortably - but we will send out a shorter or longer tubing if need be. A number of different sizes and styles of dome designs can also be used. A smaller dome can help to minimise the ear canal feeling blocked up; but a bigger dome may be required to prevent amplified sound leaking back out the ear canal and creating feedback (whistling).
If anything about the physical fitting or sound is not to your liking, you can return the HD210 for a full refund within the first 30 days of receipt. Do of course feel free to contact us to see if the problem can be resolved with a fine tuning.

If an evaluation by a hearing professional indicates that you have hearing loss in both ears, and especially where the degree of loss is similar, two hearing aids are usually recommended.
While it may be tempting to try to limit the cost by going with a single hearing aid, wearing just one hearing aid may not give you maximum benefit in some difficult listening situations.
The following items will need to be replaced on the HD210:
- Hearing Aid Battery: budget 6 batteries per month (6 batteries in a pack)
- Dome: if you choose to use a dome it will need changing every 2-3 months on average
- Wax guard: varies greatly person to person - average change once every 3 weeks (5 Wax guards in a pack)
No on/off switch, just insert battery, close / open battery door
There is one small push button on the spine of the HD210. This changes between 4 settings or programmes.
Yes, we offer free fine tuning on the HD210 for its lifetime. If you need us to adjust the hearing aid to match an updated audiogram, or increase/decrease the volume etc at any time, simply let us know and then post the hearing aid back to us. We cover the postage back to you.
