The Phonak Audeo S9 is the top tier of the technology ranks for this product range and is divided into three product sub-categories – The Smart, The Yes and The Mini. While the technology is common across all the products only the Smart carries all the options in one single package.
Let’s focus on this top of the range technology. At its heart is the SPICE programming platform which is twice as fast as the chipset that it replaced and has the power to deliver all the features and functionality that Phonak has loaded into the Audeo product range. To provide a flexible shape that will suit any frequency loss the Audeo S9 has 20 channels for ultimate adaptability to perfectly suit your loss.
To deliver that sound there are multiple programmes 5 + 2 manual programmes that all or some of which can be adjusted to your specification.
It has binaural applications the most interesting of which is the DuoPhone feature which enables the phone placed to one ear to be heard in both ears through two hearing aids. This feature is not available in all product formats – only the Smart and Yes.
Over and above the Audeo S5 there are additional features and there are improved features. One of the additions is Echoblock which combats the reverberation and distortion that one can experience in large rooms, such as concert halls or churches.
The Soundflow feature from Phonak has been improved and in the S9 range is known as Soundflow with Flex Control which delivers real-time environmental adaptation to S9 Smart wearers.
As one would expect the top of the range is a fully loaded wireless product and can communicate with a wide range of enabled products as well as Phonak’s own range of accessories. The Audeo S9 Smart has a choice of two different remote controls, a TV link and a wireless streamer.
A truly remarkable product that can be adapted to match the most demanding environments and give great satisfaction to discerning users.
