Geemarc puts their decades of experience designing telecoil compatible products to good use to support users with Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones.
The Geemarc Bluehook 2 is only suitable for use when using hearing aids with T-coils. It is specifically meant to assist those people who wish to use the telecoil settings in both their hearing aids simultaneously. If you are looking for a product to use with just one hearing aid on T, please see the Geemarc Bluehook.
The Geemarc Bluehook 2 needs to be paired to a Bluetooth-enabled device. The user guide instructions are straight-forward and you will be guided by the LED light on the device itself. The most common application for the Bluehook 2 is to connect to Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones. This effectively makes for hands-free listening via the hearing aids’ telecoils. The earhooks are extremely light and comfortable to wear. Once the earhooks are placed behind the ears, activate the telecoil setting on the hearing aids and clip the Bluehook 2 device onto your clothes, to make sure the built in microphone can pick up your voice. Hearing on a mobile, particularly in noisy environments is problematic for many hearing aid wearers: the use of the telecoil gives a much better chance of hearing on the phone even in noise.
Operating the Geemarc Bluehook 2 is easy; there are only 2 features to operate on the device itself – on/off and the volume control – which gives an impressive 25dB extra amplification.
The Geemarc Bluehook 2 is powered by a rechargeable battery which gives fairly long talk and standby time. An LED indicator on the device lights up when the battery is getting low. Using the Bluehook 2 on the go is made easy with USB, car and mains chargers all included.
Please note: users of digital hearing aids must ensure they have a ‘T’ setting already programmed into the hearing aids.
