HD Freedom 230 Digital Hearing Aid
Overview
The HD230 is mid-range hearing aid ideally suited for those with a mild to moderate hearing loss. It comes with a no nonsense push-button to change between 3 volume levels.
- Setting 1 is set 2dB softer than the software’s recommendation for a mild to moderate loss to give a softer option on startup.
- Setting 2 is as per a mild to moderate recommendation
- Setting 3 is 3dB louder than setting 2.
Our standard setting is suitable for a mild to moderate, high-frequency, hearing loss only.
Noise reduction processing is constantly active, and a ‘feedback shield’ helps to keep unwanted whistling to a minimum.
A low battery warning will sound to alert the wearer to change batteries.

HD Care
Our UK based audiologists will ensure that your new hearing aids are a perfect fit. If you would like advice on suitable devices prior to purchasing your hearing aids, you can send us your audiogram to audiology@hearingdirect.com. To speak with one of our Audiologists you can book a consultation online or by phoning our customer service team on 0800 032 1301.
Upon receipt of your order, our audiologists will programme your hearing aids to the audiogram you have supplied. If we do not already have a copy of your audiogram we make contact with you, alternatively, if you do not supply us with an audiogram please complete our online hearing test. These results can be used for programming but do not substitute a clinical audiogram and we recommend having your hearing aids re-programmed to a clinical audiogram at your earliest convenience.
A courtesy video/telephone call from our Audiologists shall be arranged for 48 hours after you have taken delivery of the order to complete any initial fine tuning to the hearing aid programming through a smartphone app and provide you with any other support around the fitting and maintenance of the products. Further follow up calls shall be arranged as required.
As a Hearing Direct Customer, you will enjoy free virtual consultations with our UK based Audiologists for the life of your hearing aids. In addition, you will be contacted every 6 months and invited to send your hearing aids to our in-house team for a clean and check service for the duration of your hearing aid warranty (includes microphone check, replacement wax guard and dome or sleeve as required, moisture check & return Postage).
