Starkey E Series 2
In 2009, Starkey introduced the E Series to provide a low-cost range of hearing devices to be made available to those with a restricted budget. There are two levels, the Series 2 being the most basic, with two sound processing channels to choose from, as opposed to the Series 3, which offers four channels.
So, how does it compare?
If you are looking for state of the art design and technology with lots of features, you are looking in the wrong place. This product is basic, with just the bare essentials available and a price tag to match. It comes in a range of styles:
· Behind the Ear – (BTE)
· Receiver in Canal – (RIC)
· Completely in Canal – (CIC)
· In the Canal – (ITC)
· In the Ear – (ITE)
2 Sound Frequency Channels – the more channels available, the easier it is to target your specific hearing needs.
Feedback Cancellation – helps eradicate irritating feedback such as whistling.
Sweep Technology – just one touch aids volume adjustment and enables memory settings to be altered.
The Starkey E Series 2 sits at the low end of an economy range, offering a limited number of technical features and just two sound processing channels. As such, it doesn’t compare to some of the newer technology that has since entered the market. For example, the Starkey Ignite range provides more features, newer technology and even wireless connectivity, while remaining an affordable option for those on a budget.
