The tried and tested housing has been fitted with a robust microphone suspension frame making it more resistant to component vibrations as a well as a back vented receiver packed in its own box to isolate it from other parts for further stability. These features are very important when there is a unit delivering over 80dB of gain.
Since 1993 ReSound has been leading the industry with its digital feedback suppression systems. ReSound Sparx uses the 6th generation of DFS to enable it to reduce unwanted feedback without affecting amplification levels – something which is incredibly important to power hearing aid wearers.
ReSound Sparx is known as a 2-in-1 product since the hearing healthcare professional can choose to fit the super power user with analogue-type (linear) or digital-type (wide dynamic range compression) amplification. Experienced users of analogue products will still be able to get the sound image that they are comfortable with, while users preferring a softer and more regulated sound image will also be able to get what they need.
ReSound Sparx tries to keep the wearer with severe hearing impairment in mind for all elements – the beep frequency for indicating programme changes and low battery is a low 868 Hz and the beep duration is 150 ms for the low battery warning and 488 Hz and 120 ms for programme changes – again, very long compared to other hearing aids.
ReSound Sparx offers a robust and easy to operate design with a 675 battery to give a long battery life even on full power.
