- Second level technology for dot
- 17 channels
- Noise reduction
- Award winning design
For a second level technology offering, dot 20 misses very few of the features from dot 30. The directional system does not have as many configuration options, but the overall processing is actually the same.
Both the dot 30 and dot 20 showcase the WARP compression, which is ReSound’s trademarked system of delivering amplified sound. The WARP system mimics the function of the human cochlea to deliver high resolution sound processing quality across all frequencies. The benefit for the dot 20 user is that the full 17 channels are preserved as in dot 30, and the user can expect minimal processing delays which helps to eliminate the sensation of digital delay and thus enhance the sound quality.
Still on the subject of sound quality, there is an in-built and automatic Impulse Noise Smoother which provides clear speech, along with the confidence that sudden loud sounds will still be comfortable.
As for all the dot instruments there is a small push button on the back of the instrument to allow for user flexibility - the push button can be set by the hearing healthcare professional to give completely different programmes, or have it act perhaps as an overall volume control.
