I recently received my HD300 hearing aid from you within 24 hours of placing the order which was a brilliant service. I have been using the HD300 for the last couple of weeks and it has made a great difference to the range of sounds I am able to hear, improving my confidence when out and about and allowing me to join in more. Unfortunately the unit does seem to amplify the background “white” noise too which can sometimes get a bit crackly when in busy environments such as shopping centres, but on the whole I have been Pleasantly Surprised. I give the HD300 4 out of 5

My dad is pleased with his HD300s and so are we! It was so nice to hear him join in conversation around the dinner table with us all. My brothers didn't even notice he was wearing them! The only downside, but a lesson learnt, was that my dad said the batteries ran out when he went out for a meal and then theatre with friends. I advised him to carry a spare set of batteries with him.
Thank you so much for your help and advice on purchasing the aids. It's definitely a major breakthrough in our lives! Let's hope they're not just a fad and my dad continues to wear them.

Regarding the HD300 Hearing Aid purchased from “hearing direct”, I bought it for my elderly father who had lost his original. Unfortunately, he has lost another and this one also. However, it did the trick rather well considering the nature of his hearing impediment.
Out of a rating 1 to 5, I would give it 5 out of 5 for value, and 3.5 out of 5 for effectiveness … not because the product was defective in any way, but because my dad’s hearing is really bad.

The HD300 sound tube is so fine that many people at work are unaware that I use an aid. I was surprised how small the body was, which allowed it to sit behind the top of my ear out of sight.
Range of volume is impressive. It allowed me to balance my hearing between right and left ears. An advantage is the lack of feedback whistle under normal circumstances.
This product has returned a missing part of my life. Speech is easy to pick out now from noises at work.

I received my HD300 yesterday and while listening to Classic FM in the evening,The Lark Ascending came on air. It is many, many years since I was able to hear the last 4 or 5 notes of this piece of music. I turned the volume of my new aid up to near maximum and imagine my amazement of being able to hear the music to the very end and clearly hear those final high notes.

Dear Joan, I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to you for going to so much trouble last week for my father and me - I'm delighted to say that Dad's getting on very well with the new aid ( I delayed my thanks for a few days to see if it was all going to work out for him). I think it will transform his life, especially once he becomes expert at handling it!! I speak with optimism!! We were so grateful that you spent so much time with us and were so patient.

I was a little worried because of the price but I was pleasently surprised. It is nice and small. It fits easily into my ear, and I can now turn down the TV. I am still getting used to it, but I am very pleased. Thankyou.

My HD 300 arrived this morning and I popped it in my ear and the first thing I noticed was the sound of bird song, something I realised I had ceased to hear over the last few years. Within a very few minutes I had adjusted to wearing a hearing aid, something I had resisted for a long time as I thought all hearing aids were very noticeable, but not this one. For the first time in a long time, I was not asking people to repeat what they said and now the sound is turned down on the T V and no subtitles. My life has changed overnight, I do not hear as well as a teenager, but I now hear as well as I did 10 years ago.

After recently being told by my ENT specialist the only step forward was a hearing aid (I have had seriously bad hearing problems since the age of about 4 and have endured several operations involving Gromets, T-tubes etc some as recently as last year, which have done nothing except leave me with bad scarring of the eardrum and horrendous tinnitus) I was really unsure this was what I wanted to do as I feel there is still a certain amount of stigma attached to wearing one. After some consideration (and sick of relying on subtitles and lip reading!) I decided digital was the way forward. Due the stigma, I wanted one that was virtually unnoticeable to anyone so I looked into the various types on the market and I came across the Hearing Direct website. I felt the HD300 was best suited to my needs but I was a tad unsure about the cost as I am a single parent especially if it didn't work - but with the 30 day money back guarantee I figured I had nothing to lose...
The aid came today and all I can say is "WOW!" I can't believe how deaf I have been for 30+ years ! Within an few hours of inserting the aid, I already have the TV volume lower and haven't had to use subtitles at all. I have been telling my daughter to stop shouting. Even the sound of the cat's claws 'clicking' across the laminate floor is something I've never heard before. It truly is amazing and worth every penny !
I haven't needed to call the helpline as yet but I spoke to the online agent before ordering and they were extremely helpful.
