This fantastic addition to the Geemarc range is just out. A clamshell style phone with big buttons, great levels of amplification and an extra loud ring. As for all our amplified phones this is designed to be simple and easy to use and comes with the significant added beneift of answering and ending calls by simply opening and closing the phone. We can't recommend this highly enough if you are looking for a stylish yet functional phone with amplification and ease of use built in as standard. This will unquestionably become one of our most popular mobile phones in a very short time.

Phone arrived with defective battery cover locating lug. Call to manufacturer resulted in quick despatch of new cover, now fitted.
Good Points - loud ringer and message alert. Big keys. large screen. SOS button an excellent feature.
Bad Points - Battery life is poor- other modern mobile batteries last much longer. On screen controls not intuitive. Text size too small given the expected user group. Not enough Memory buttons (see below).
Design suggestions:
Improve the battery. Cut out some of the features unlikely to be used by elderly users and concentrate only on basic calls without all the frills. These just increase the possibility of confusion. One other suggestion would be to have more Memory buttons and a feature that brings up the called persons name in Big Letters when the button is pressed before the call is made to remind the user who is programmed onto that key. I want a phone that I can simply pick up and call a handful of key people from and easily see who I am calling.
Having said all that, this phone is still is a big improvement in terms of simplicity and loudness and I am glad I bought it.

I rate my clamshell mobile phone a 5. I can speak to people on the phone again - I had to keep passing the phone to my husband because I could not hear. Now I am eager to answer the mobile phone which is very neat and light. Thank you

There are many useful functions in this phone and it is reasonably loud enough and meet my need. The only reason I didn’t give a 5/5 is that the voice from incoming calls is not always very clear, and sometimes I need to ask the person to repeat what he/she had said. Probably it is my hearing problem rather than the phone. However, I also own 2 Geemarc telephones: AmpliPower 50 (at work) and AmpliPower 40 (at home), and they are absolutely fantastic! Due to the fact that I am so used to hearing the clear conversation from these phones, I was also expecting similar quality from the mobile phone CL8400 produced by the same company, but I am afraid that this is not the case. I suppose it might be unfair the compare the desk telephone with a small mobile phone. Anyway, this is a very good product and I do recommend it to others who requires an amplified phone.

Purchased this phone for a relative who has very poor hearing, the amplification is good enough for him to be able to use it!!!

i bought the CL8400 mobile phone although it is louder than other phones i have had i am still trying to master the tone control ,but i must admit that the service from hearing direct could not have been better,i will use them again when i need something else for any hearing hearing problems
