Accessibility is the keyword with the Geemarc CL455. Extra loud receiving volume, adjustable tone control and hearing aid compatibility mean it can easily be customised to your hearing loss. Generally this is a good phone for the hard of hearing and partially sighted. I bought it for my elderly parents, one has hearing difficulties, the other is partially sighted and it has helped them. They both listen on the speaker phone and this is clear. In the past hearing with handsets has been difficult but the boost function has solved this.
The reason I have not given a 5 is because I couldn't find a way for the talking function to cover the preset buttons which I believe is a significant design problem. This means if you can't see you have to remember who each of the 9 presets, not easy the older you are is or risk dialing the wrong number.
It takes a bit of setting up so make sure someone is available to help. The manual is quite clear for what is covered but it took quite a lot of knowledge for granted and answers to questions weren't always available.
The answering machine has not been used yet so can't comment on it.

i recently got a CL455 from you and all i can say i was glad i found your web-site as the phone has opened up a brand new world too me.before i had this phone i could,nt ring people up because i could,nt hear them,i could only use me mobile and that was text only.but now with the CL455 i can use landline and actualy hear people talking to me.once again thank-you very much,and if you want a rating 1-10 i,l give it 11

Geemarc telephone bought for my elderly parents (87 and 88) has been a success. My Father is a little concerned because the size and number of the buttons are so "obvious" but my Mother says "you will get used to them". Father is very deaf and even he can hear the phone ring which is marvellous.
My review rating for the product is 5!

The Geemarc CL455 is a great phone and would I recommend this phone to any with hearing difficulties in a very loud working environment, has many various feature aspects such as the 30 DB volume control.
