The Phonak Naida Q50
The Phonak Naida range; innovatively designed to maximise your hearing capability.
During 2013, Phonak brought a new and inventive hearing portfolio to market, known as the Phonak Naida Q. The Q50 represents the third tier of this exciting range of power hearing aids. The ‘Q’ stands for Quest chip sound technology, meaning that the Q50 benefits from rapid sound processing, a clearer sound quality and additional power when you need it. The Q50 is designed to replace the Naida S3.
How would you stand to benefit from the Q50?
Technology is forever pushing the boundaries of our expectations and the Q50 power hearing aid is an example of how it is continuing to do so. Enabled by Quest chip sound technology, the Q50 benefits from a number of Binaural VoiceStream features that makes this the envy of its class. In other words, the Q50 hearing aids are now able to communicate and interact with each other, sharing information to improve your hearing capacity.
It is possible to customise your Q50, to suite your circumstances and your personality. There are three styles to choose from, all offering a range of colours spanning the very subtle skin tones to bold and cheerful. All three styles are water resistant, offer FM and Telecoil facilities and have wireless capability.
The three styles are as follows:
· Naida Q-RIC – this is the Receiver-in-Canal hearing aid, with a slender, attractive design.
· Naida Q-SP - a Behind the Ear hearing aid offering a subtle look with the slim tube option.
· Naida Q-UP – which is a Behind the Ear hearing aid, offering more power and a longer battery life.
UltraZoom – is a binaural microphone application designed to achieve speech clarity and reduce unwanted background noise.
Acclimatisation Manager – your Q50 automatically adjusts amplification levels according to the environment you find yourself in. Manual changes can also be made.
Twelve channels – providing a number of different sound frequencies to help compensate for your hearing loss.
WhistleBlock – helps to prevent irritating feedback.
SoundRecover – offers the capability to hear high frequency sounds.
NoiseBlock – suppresses background noise, making it easier to hold a conversation.
SoundFlow – adapts to environmental change, to provide good quality sound wherever possible.
Phonak wireless accessories that are compatible with the Q50:
· ComPilot –sound is streamed directly into your hearing aids, when worn around your neck.
· TV Link S – is dual purpose; a charger for the ComPilot and a television transmitter.
· MyPilot – a remote control with a one-touch display screen.
· PilotOne – an ordinary remote control.
The Q50 sits in third place amongst the Phonak Naida Q range, yet it still shares some of the technological advances of its more advanced counterparts. With great processing speed, enhanced power and the Binaural VoiceStream features, the only standard thing about this Hearing Aid is its price tag.
