- Award winning design
- Seven different product formats
- Suitable for mild to profound loss
- Incorporates UltraZoom Essential Technology
Phonaks tagline for this product portfolio is "The essentials of hearing in a broad range of styles" and we think that this perfectly captures what the Phonak Dalia is all about.
If one does boil hearing down to its basic essentials one would struggle to justify the inclusion of features and functions such as wireless connectivity. However, over recent years the hearing aid industry has been alive with the wireless buzzword and it is to Phonak’s credit that they have identified that this feature and its undoubted benefit is not for everyone. The Dalia is not wireless but get beyond that and there is still some pretty good fundamental or to use their word ‘essential’ sound processing going on inside these products.
They have slightly restricted the number of product formats on offer with just seven (four behind the ear and three in the ear) but one must offset that against the awards that have been won for these cases. Dalia certainly looks the part but does it sound the part?
There are some very good sound processing algorithms being used here. Phonak’s UltraZoom Essential technology will help speech understanding in noise and the sound processing has been extended to include SoundRecover which, according to Phonak, helps you enjoy the full spectrum of life’s sounds.
The product fitting range is as good as many higher technology bands with claimed suitability for mild through to profound loss.
AIn summary, if you are after a really good value for money hearing aid from one of the world’s leading manufacturers then the Phonak Dalia has a lot going for it at a very attractive price.
